A rare find from a watch repairmans’s estate! A high grade Swiss made International Watch Co. Pocket watch movement with dial for REPAIR. The movement measures 37.38mm diameter (measuring just below the upper lip). The serial number is’726229′, which is presumed circa 1919. The movement is stamped’INTERNATIONAL WATCH Co. 19 JEWELS, 6 ADJUSTMENTS, SWITZERLAND, 726229′. The movement is designed to fit an open face style case with the crown located. At the 12 o’clock position. The movement has gold jewel settings. The overall thickness of the movement (as measured at the center) is 6.13mm. Diameter (measured at the dial) is 38.77mm. The balance wheel tilts from side to side; presumed BROKEN staff / jewel? I tried to put a winding tool in to check the mainspring but there. Is a presumed BROKEN stem in the hole; so I do NOT know the condition of the mainspring. The silvered metal dial has black painted fancy Arabic numerals; with a sunk subsidiary. Seconds register, marked “SWISS” below. The’black’ paint on the dial appears in very good condition with only some loss to the. Last’S’ in’SWISS’.
