A rare find from a watch collector’s estate! A Swiss made C. Meylan pocket watch movement that is currently running. The movement measures 39.15mm diameter; (measuring just below the upper lip). The serial number is’13582′ and the movement. MEYLAN, BRASSUS, ADJUSTED, SWISS’. I gave the watch a full wind using a winding tool and it has. Been currently running for 18 hours and is within 2 minutes accuracy. The stem / crown are MISSING and I do NOT know if the setting. The thickness of the movement from the upper dial surface to the top surface of the mainspring bridge is 6.38mm. The outer diameter of the upper lip (just below the dial) is 39.76mm. The white enamel dial has black Arabic numerals at the hours and red numerals at the 5 minute markers; with a sunk subsidiary seconds. Register and is marked, “RIGGS & BROTHER”. There are hairline cracks from the 58 to the 2 minute markers just outside the minutes. Chapter ring; one from the center out to the 10 minute marker and one from that crack (near the center of the dial). Down to the 3 second position. There are several light scratches and some chips located at the. Outer edge of the dial between the 48 – 50 minute marker. There is a stained area halfway between the center of the dial and the. 1 o’clock position; please see the last picture. The collector died over 2 decades ago and collected from the 1960’s -1980’s.
