This is a very good project for a skilled watchmaker or an experienced hobbyist. The package I offer consist of two parts. A sharp looking vintage Herodia salesman’s sample watch with no movement fitted from the 1970’s. All steel case measures 39mm without crown. My research indicates that this watch was designed to house the ETA 2452 automatic movement. The watch comes on a nice new Rios leather strap. The main movement needs to be serviced and fitted. With some work this could be turned into a very nice functioning watch. The main movement is complete but does not run. I think it’s just dry and needs to be cleaned and lubricated. Balance doesn’t move freely but I don’t think it’s broken. It only seems to be sticking. The two parts movements both have free moving and healthy balances. The complete ETA 2452 I’m supplying fits nicely in the retaining ring inside the watch. A few words on sample watches. A sample watch is a non-functional or demonstrator model of a timepiece, used by manufacturers and authorized dealers to showcase a new or upcoming design to retailers. These watches are missing their internal movement and other essential components, serving solely as a visual representation of the final product. They are also sometimes given to potential customers as part of a sales pitch to demonstrate features like water resistance or durability. Or parts from this piece can be used to repair another watch. This is a project for a trained watchmaker or for the enthusiast hobbyist.
