Vintage Bentley “Compressor” wristwatch dating to circa 1968 (confirmed by caseback engraving). A classic mid-century Swiss dress watch featuring a subtle pan-pie / stepped dial, applied baton indices with black inserts, and a framed date window at 3. This example is housed in a gold plated EPSA compressor-style case with stainless steel screw back. Caseback is engraved: “To Dearest Dad On your 50th Birthday Love Mary 1968″ – a nice period touch. Powered by a Swiss ETA 2408 manual wind movement (marked VZ) – a reliable and well-regarded mid-century calibre. Resistance felt when attempting to wind – likely requires service/repair. Dial presents well with light age-related marks and minor spotting. Hands and indices in good vintage condition. Crystal shows scratches and wear consistent with age. Case has some minor plating wear and scratches to edges and lugs. Movement is clean visually but untested beyond basic inspection. Case Size: 34mm (excluding crown).
