This is an H. Taylor 15j Elgin 18s Key Wind Hunter Pocket Watch made around 1873. The watch case is marked for 18K, but electronic testing shows 9-10K. The case covers open and close properly to less than 90 degrees. The case gold hinges tight. The case is near mint. The bow is stiff. The dial has no hairlines. The case is approximately 54mm at the smallest case diameter, excluding the bow and winding stem. From the base to the top of the bow measures approximately 77mm. The watch is running strong, but the hands are not turning. Take a look at the nice condition of the blued screws on the movement. The dial is near pristine with no hairlines. The total weight of this watch is 108 grams. I have tried to take pictures of all the important features. Please view the pictures for the condition and description of this pocket watch.
