I found this pocket watch at an estate sale in Richmond, Va. It is a Hamilton, model 940. It has a 21 jewel movement and a double sunk dial. The watch’s serial number is 666847, which relates to a production date of 1907. The watch is in a gold plated case that is in worn condition and brass is showing, as you can see from the pictures. Also, someone has put what appears to be a number 36 on the back. The watch appears complete, but is not running – the balance wheel will move very slowly for a couple of revolutions. Also, the minute and second hands are not attached and are loose inside the watch. The dial has minor damage at 2:00 and a couple of faint hairlines.
