Self-winding movement never requires a battery. Condition: Here we have an Omega 1164 ETA caliber 7750 movement. Here is what I know about the condition: The movement is currently non-running. The movement looks clean with the exception of some adhesive-type material around the perimeter. At first it looks like it would be rust, but I was able to remove some with my fingernail and it seems like dried superglue or something similar. I could probably clean the rest off easily and make it look all pretty, but I’m in the watch business, not the movement-for-parts business, so I don’t have the time for all that.
