An early Victorian silver pair-cased verge pocket watch c1843. The crystal is missing and the balance is loose. The bow is attached on one side only and will need to be re-pinned. The fusee chain is attached and looks to be in good condition are the silver cases which have matching London assay marks. The watch measures 55mm across and weighs over 135g. Antique Victorian Shell Pocket Watch Display Holder AS IS for Parts or Repair. This is awesome but in need of repair. Made of gilt metal, probably brass with gorgeous shell house. The mechanism that would hold the shell closed at the top is missing balls or something. It has a hook to hang the watch from and a round dish to hold the watch. It is exactly 46.85 inside opening. The fancy stand would have held 2 small photos or cameos. They each have a seated bezel. They are misshaped now. The piece is screwed to the base which doesn’t look original to me. It sits on a old piece of wood which could be original. The stamped ribbon detail would have been attached to the base. Each one has a hole on it but neither are attached down, see close up photos. This is AS IS for repair. Shell has no damage. Please roll over all 12 photos for details and close ups as these are also part of the description. Most everything I sell is vintage.
