Hard to find movement with wonderful level of finishing. The dial has cracks and I believe the hands are not original, two of them are broken. The balance is good and swings freely but escape wheel is stuck and wont rotate as the pallet swings. One mainspring appears to have gone and another is very clunky when wound. Thanks for looking at this gorgeous Hamilton pocket watch. Everything about this watch is beautiful- dial face is intact, blued hands are lovely, aside from a couple light dings expected with age- case is gorgeous, and gold plate still has a long life ahead of it- not showing much wear at all. Or hoop at the top of the case above dial does show some wear to the gold. Crystal does have very light scuffs and a scratch. Overall, this watch does not look like it was used much. When I attempt to wind clockwise, it just doesn’t happen. Dial does wind counter-clockwise, and when crystal is removed, and lever positioned for setting, you can set the time. Watch measures a hair under 2 1/4 across, and that is the case I’m measuring. Total weight is 123.5 grams. Face of watch looks to be painted or somehow marked by hand, L. It’s a classy look. Movement is marked: 21Jewels Motor Barrel Adj 5 Positions When I take the back off of case, there are a few etchings in there from repairs or servicing in past????
