The A-R 1034 automatic movement does not run. The oscillating weight was replaced at some point. The crown can be wound and the time can be set without issue. At a minimum a complete overhaul is required. This seldom seen vintage 1957 Enicar Ultrasonic Seapearl has a lovely silver textured “SWISS” only signed dial and the original lume, which remains fully intact and no longer glows after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully. The smooth, fixed bezel and the all stainless steel case show honest wear with minor signs of oxidation (the discoloration, most notably between the lugs, may be dried dirt/gunk). The outermost edge of the case back is stamped “BREVET + 314962″ with SWISS INCABLOC ENIFLEX 100/78 BA a S AUTOMATIC STAINLESS STEEL. ” stamped along the inner edge and “SEAPEARL” followed by “ENICAR” and “ULTRASONIC stamped in the center. The inside of the case back is stamped “EPSA” followed by “SWISS CASE, “”PATENTED + 314002, “. The crystal needs to be replaced. The 17 jewels unadjusted Swiss “Wadsworth” stamped A-R 1034 automatic movement does not run. The oscillating weight is a replacement as it originally came with an Enicar stamped one. The signed, non-screwdown crown winds smoothly and the time can be set without issue. This watch measures approximately 34 mm excluding the crown, approximately 36.5 mm including the crown and approximately 18 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the fixed bezel, is approximately 7 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 9.5 mm. The lug to lug distance measures approximately 41 mm. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility. And please study the 24 high magnification pictures carefully as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of this watch.

Job lot of Enicar Seapearl steel diver watches for parts or repair. Lot consists of the following items. Watch #1: Seapearl 600, disassembled. Steel case, 32mm, Ref 100/61-10 a. Hand winding cal 1010 movement. Probably incomplete though I cant tell. Some lose parts present. Watch #2: Seapearl 600, disassembled, no movement present. Case: Round Stainless Steel with large beefy lugs measuring 34.5 mm across, 43.5 mm lug to lug. The screw off back is marked Enicar, 100/61-10 SN, Antimagnetic, Incabloc, Stainless Steel, Waterproof, Made and Cased in Switzerland, Swiss and Brevet 98243. Dial: Wild Sci-Fi era with a black background with stars, marked Enicar, Ultra Sonic, 17 Jewels, Seapearl, 600 and Swiss. The hour markers have radium coated futuristic symbolic figures. The hour and minute hands are radium coated and the seconds hand have a very unusual shape and it too in radium coated. Movement: Should be a 17 Jewel Mechanical Wind Enicar Movement which is missing. Comments: An excellent example of a 1950s Sci-Fi craze influenced wristwatch, built very sturdily. In July 1958 the US Navy Experimental Diving Unit reported on the performance of the Seapearl 600 watch as several of its members were already using this model. It compared the Seapearl 600 to the Blancpain 50 Fathoms Milspec 1 and the Rolex. The Seapearl 600 was favourably recommended for situations where no rotating bezel was required.
