IT HAS A DAMAGED ENAMEL DIAL, IT HAS GOLD HANDS WHICH ARE NOT MATCHING. THE TAIL OF THE SECOND HAND HAS BROKEN OFF SINCE THE PHOTOGRAPH WAS TAKEN. THE DIAL MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 44.4MM. THE BALANCE STAFF SEEMS OK. THE BALANCE IS CUT AND COMPENSATED BI-METALLIC WITH GOLD SCREWS. THE MOVEMENT MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 42MM. IT IS KEY WIND KEY SET. THIS IS NOT A DETENT CHRONOMETER. The balance staff is broken. The dial is also loose and not secured with pins at the moment. Movement winds at the 3 O Clock position so would have been a hunter. The repeating mechanism is not working, pulling the lever does nothing but it just springs back to where it was. A bit of a repair project or for hard to find parts if you have the same rare movement. Patent on the movement dated Apr 11 1882 is for the repeating movement signed by W.
