This is a nice-looking example of the popular GMT model, dating to January of 1972. It is not running and is missing its GMT hand, but other than some mild fading of the internal bezel, its in really nice cosmetic condition. What looks like possible damage to the dial in the pictures i. At 12-1 oclock and at 9 oclock is a damaged crystal, which will need replacing. The dial itself looks great; the lume has aged significantly, but the dial is otherwise in very good condition. The hands are also in very nice original condition, with some mild tarnishing on the minute hand as can be seen in the photos (though this looks like a bit of gunk that might clean right offhard to tell as I havent tried). Unfortunately, the watch is currently not running. The crown and stem are also not original/not correct (the stem pulls right out of the movement), and someone has cannibalized the ring that turns the internal bezel. The movement looks pretty clean and there is no obvious evidence of water damage (just lots of gunk and a hint of rust under the caseback but outside the threads). The case is worn and pretty dinged, but is unpolished. There are tool marks to the caseback and to the back of the case itself. Ive described the watch to the best of my ability and tried to disclose any issues, and I will happily answer any questions and send further photos on request. This is a funky watch that has unfortunately seen better days and is need of some love and attention. Theres a big, slightly puzzling scratch over the day window and the hour register is faded. The rest of the printing is otherwise very sharp although the raised SEIKO lettering is misaligned. The hands are correct and appear original, and the case doesnt appear to have ever been polished. Theres a small chip in the crystal just right of 12 oclock. Inside the case, the oscillating weight shows obvious signs of water intrusion (presumably related to the absent caseback gasket). Also, although the crown is there, the stem is nowhere to be found. The watch has also been robbed of its pusher springs (although the pushers themselves are still there). This watch is NOT RUNNING. On the bright side, the weight and hairspring both move freely. Ive described the watch to the best of my ability and tried to disclose any issues, and I will happily answer any questions and send further photos on request.
