A beautifully designed and crafted Hebdomas 8 Day pocketwatch in a lovely ornate gold plated case with fancy multi-colored dial for Limit of Switzerland in superb cosmetic condition throughout. It is not running as the mainspring is missing as well as the center screw down axle which holds on the large mainspring barrel is broken. The axle screw plate is present, but the axle will need to be replaced. I believe that if you have, or can find the parts this should be an easy fix. The case is gold plated and measures 50mm in diameter excluding the stem and ornate bow. The dial is also beautifully designed with bright enamel colors and in near mint condition with no hairlines or chips. See description for more details. STUNNING Vintage HEBDOMAS 8 DAYS/JOURS Pocket WATCH Open BALANCE Parts/Repair. The axle screw down plate is present, but the axle will need to be replaced. The exposed or “open heart” skeleton style balance wheel swings freely when I give the watch a turn in my hand and adds that cool sense of movement to the look of this unusual timepiece. Antique Hebdomas visible balance 8 day pocket watch. Retailed by Bennet New York. Very much a an antique item. Has hairlines to dial, balance is fine its runs briefly then stops. Crystal has few scratches and light haze to it, tip of the subdial on the day of the week pointer is missing. Case has tarnish O wned by a long time NAWCC member for many years.
