FOR PARTS/REPAIR – Although. The date and time can be set without issue the manual wind movement runs about 2 hours fast by the end of its approximate 22 hour power reserve period. Given this and considering the movement’s unknown service history a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended. This vintage 1970’s Lord Nelson Datomatic has a lovely matte black “SWISS MOVT HONG KONG MADE DIAL” signed dial and the original lume, which remains fully intact and emits a quick burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully. The fat font bezel, which shows wear and rotates smoothly bidirectionally, presents nicely. The chrome-plated case shows honest wear with minor brassing. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “5 ATM TESTED – BASE METAL BEZEL – STAINLESS STEEL BACK” with “HONG KONG CASE MANUFACTURED BY HUNG KEE METAL” stamped on the inside of the case back. The crystal shows scratching. The Swiss 1 jewel unadjusted “CONSTRUCTA WATCH LTD” manual wind movement is clean but runs fast. Although the red date wheels rolls over as it should there is no quickset option. After recently winding the brassed, non-screwdown crown 27 full revolutions the movement runs about 2 hour fast by the end of its approximate 22 hour power reserve period. Given that the movement runs fast and considering its unknown service history a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended. This watch measures approximately 36 mm excluding the crown, approximately 39.5 mm including the crown and approximately 20 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 10 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 12.5 mm. Given that the movement runs fast a complete overhaul is recommended. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. FOR PARTS/REPAIR – The automatic movement does not run. While the crown/stem is intact when the crown is pulled out and pushed back in as well as when the time is set the dial moves which has caused chipping around its edges. Both the day and date wheels roll over as they should. At a minimum a complete overhaul is required. This seldom seen vintage 1973 Bulova has a “-T SWISS T-” signed dial that shows wear, most notably chipping around the edges as it moves when the crown is pulled out and pushed back in as well as when the time is set. The lume, which is fully intact with the exception of the minute hand, emits a quick burst glow on only the dial after being exposed to bright light. The black bezel, which shows wear and rotates. Bidirectionally, presents nicely with the toasted butterscotch inverted lume triangle complementing the dial and patina beautifully. The all stainless steel case shows honest wear with minor signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “BULOVA STAINLESS STEEL 666 FEET” with “448844” and “N3″ stamped in the center. The inside of the case back is stamped “R/” followed by “7515” and SWISS. The crystal needs to be replaced. The 23 jewels unadjusted Swiss “BULOVA WATCH Co” and “11 AOACB” stamped automatic movement does not run. The quickset date function, which should work by pulling the crown out and pushing it back in, does not. And when the signed crown is flush with the case (first position) it turns the hands rather than allowing the movement to be wound. This watch measures approximately 37 mm excluding the crown, approximately 40.5 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 10.5 mm. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Attractive teal/blue dial, original hands and bezel insert – a great candidate for a watchmaker, hobbyist modder, or parts/repair project. Movement needs service or replacement. Cosmetic wear consistent with age and use: scratches on the caseback and case, wear and scuffs on bezel insert and edges, some marks on crystal, and aged lume on markers/hands. Rubber strap is original and shows creasing and wear. Water resistance is not guaranteed – seals and gaskets not tested and movement is non-functional. FOR PARTS/REPAIR – The AS 1701 automatic movement keeps accurate time over an approximate 20 hour power reserve period. However, while the non-screwdown crown winds with an appropriate amount of tension it will unscrew (picture 16) when trying to set the date and time. At a minimum a complete overhaul is required. There is a chip in the base of the bezel that can be mostly clearly seen in pictures 12 and 13. This seldom seen vintage 1960/70’s Choisi Continental’The Florida Frogman’ diver came from the Florida estate of a retired Navy SEAL commander. Having never seen another like it, and not knowing its history, I don’t know how this watch came to be. Under the heavily scratched crysta l is a lovely black “SWISS MADE” signed dial. Majority of the imperfections seen are on the crystal. The original lume, which remains fully intact and emits a quick burst glow on only the dial after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully. The black countdown bezel, which shows wear and a chip in its base that can be most clearly seen in pictures 12 and 13, rotates stiffly bidirectionally. The all stainless steel case shows honest wear and oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “ALL STAINLESS – STEEL – ANTIMAGNETIC” with “100%” followed by “WATERPROOF TESTED” and “20 ATMOSPHERES” stamped in the center. The inside of the case back is stamped “CONTINENTAL” followed by “TIME” and FRANCE. The crystal should be replaced. This watch measures approximately 37 mm excluding the crown, approximately 40.5 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9.5 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 11 mm. This is a vintage Baylor automatic diver from the late 1960s-early 1970s. The watch is currently running when shaken, but it clearly needs a full service to be reliable. The crown will unscrew completely, and setting the time is difficult because of that. Movement is unserviced and should be cleaned, oiled, and adjusted by a watchmaker. The crystal is heavily crazed and will need replacement. The dial shows even patina consistent with age. Case and back are original and unpolished. Comes with what appears to be the original two-tone bracelet. Runs, but not tested for accuracy. Crown comes off / time-setting is tricky. Needs full cleaning + service. Crystal cracked / crazed. Vintage patina across dial and hands. Original bracelet included.

The bezel, which rotates bidirectionally with an appropriate amount of tension, shows considerable wear. The all stainless steel lugholes case shows honest wear with minor signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped “SKINDIVER ALL STAINLESS STEEL AUTO MATIC” with “100%” followed by “WATERPROOF TESTED” and “20 ATMOSPHERES” stamped in the center. The inside of the case back is stamped “BIDLINGMAIER” followed by GERMANY. The crystal shows scratching and dust/debris on its underbelly. The 17 jewels Bifora 910/1 automatic movement does not run. Additionally the stem and replacement Bulova Snorkel crown pull out so the date and time cannot be set. This watch measures approximately 38 mm excluding the crown, approximately 41 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9.5 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 11.5 mm.
