RADO Elegance, 1970s hand-wound mechanical watch, junk condition. Model number: 396.5013.4. The wrist size is approximately 6.18 inches. When wound, the watch hands start moving normally, but we have not checked the operating time after winding, time accuracy, or water resistance. It can be used as is, repaired, used as parts, or added to a collection. Maintenance has been limited to simple cleaning such as removing light dirt, so it will be delivered in its current condition. Everything in the image is included. Simple surface cleaning (wiping) has been done, but professional cleaning has not been done, so there may be signs of use, scratches, and dirt.

Original vintage chronograph unbranded. Classic 40s design, 36mm case. Chromed base metal with. Stainless steel snap back. Manual wind Valjoux 71 movement. I didnt check that, but it was an expert that has told me. Wide : +- 36mm not counting the crown. It is +- 19mm wide between the lugs. A gift that goes with the watch. About ten years ago the watch was fully functional and had been cleaned by a trusted watchmaker. As I had another valjoux 71 to repair, a Heuer, naturally the watchmaker used this movement to provide the pieces needed in the other movement. Dont ask me which pieces or how many as I dont remember well- I think they were 2 or 3, but may have been 5 or 6. Please note that the watch should not be used in the water! All diving watches, even recent, should be sent for a qualified water sealing service each year prior to diving season. This description is unavoidably a subjective evaluation of the pictures. Please observe the pictures and make your own evaluation! At my age I cant see any defects with the naked eye, therefore I will leave the final evaluation of the pictures to you. The original dial has been redone to a very high standard. Looks in very good / excellent condition, with almost no signs of age. Look in very good condition. Has been chromium re-plated. The movement: very good condition. Looks OK But it is not working. Looks good but more recent than the watch. Is made of plastic / Plexiglas. It is in very good condition, with no ugly scratches, no cracking nor glazing. Remember that seeing the item at very high magnification, as in the pictures that I provide, brings to life small defects that the human eye does not perceive. That is why many people will like even more the item after seeing it for real. Please refer to the pictures for a complete perception of the items condition. This will be more precise and effective than my eyesight or judgment. All pictures are of the actual item. Photos are not retouched or edited to mask defects. Please take time to enlarge the all the photos for the clearest, largest images.
