Up for sale is a vintage piece of Canadian history. 1942 RCAF Military Issued Aviators Watch Waltham 6/0 16 Jewel Premier. Military marking on the back : R. Has correct movement dated 1942, with dust cover. Dial and hands are in awesome condition for its time. Measures 30mm without crown. Case material: Chrome plated. Vintage SOLAR AQUA, ROLEX OYSTER (for Canadian Market) Mens Watch PARTS REPAIR

Vintage Solar Aqua (Rolex Oyster) Men’s Watch for Parts / Repair. This unique watch is from the 1940’s, and was made by the Rolex Oyster company for the Canadian market. The crown on this watch is marked Oyster Patent. The interesting part about this watch is that it came from the estate of a man who owned a jewelry store from the 1940’s to the 1970’s, and the boxes I got were not touched since the early 60’s. This watch was probably brought in for repair, or never picked up. This watch did have a back on it the whole time, but it didn’t fit right so I assumed it was not the original back you can see it in picture 11 and 12, by Titmus Co. , but at least something was on there all this time so the gears didn’t get corroded. The case is an original Oyster stainless steel case, hard to find! The dial has some corrosion to the letters and hour/min hands. I believe the seconds h. The crystal is actually yellow in color, which is original, but it makes it hard to see through. The movement looks good, but as I took the back off, one of the gears fell out along with the small piece that held it in so it will be sent out with the watch. The band is actually still usable. This is truly a great candidate to fix up and get running again, or it can be a great parts watch especially with an original Oyster case. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask, thanks!
