Vintage Seiko 6139-6012 Silver/Black Wristwatch for Parts/Repair, May 1971

The watch isnt currently running, although it will for 10 seconds or so when you give it a shake. It is all-original and unpolished, and the reset does work (although its a little stiff and both the sweep and subregister hands reset just left of zero). Theres some aging of the dial lume and minute hand; the hour hand looks pretty good and the dial itself is otherwise in really nice shape other than some minimal staining on the subregister. There numerous shallow scratches to the crystal; theyre not horrible from a cosmetic standpoint but they certainlydont look as if the watch has been babied. The case itself is similarly scratched, but with no major dings and only superficial caseback tool marks. The day wheel is English/Spanish. Unfortunately, someone robbed this watch of its dial and stem, but theyre easily replaced (this model doesnt have a rotating inner bezel, so it doesnt require the pricy 357612 stem). Otherwise, it looks good internally; the movement is quite clean given the condition of the case and I dont see any sign of significant moisture intrusion, surprising as that would be given the unsealed case (missing stem). The only other thing I noticed is that the winding weight rubs slightly against the caseback. If interested, I have a black-on-gold dial that will fit this watch and would be happy to sell this along with it. Please message me if you’d like this included in the sale. MOVEMENT:6139B SEIKO AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH. RARE 6139 WITH GOLD DIAL , ORANGE CIRCLE AND BLACK TACHYMETER. FROM THE OLDER MODEL 6139WITH 70 M RESIST ON DIAL. THE GOLD ON DIAL IS FADED FROM TIME. I VE SEEN THE SAME MODEL OF WATCH WITH ROUND CIRCLE IN YELLOW COLOR AND ORANGE HAND.. MAYBE IN THIS BROTHER MODEL THEY DESIGN IT OPPOSITE COLORS. THE WATCH WORKING AND KEEP TIME. THE CHRONOGRAPH DOES NOT RETURN TO 12, SOMETIMES TO 1 SOMETIMES TO 2.. I DONT KNOW IF ITS BECOUSE THE BUTTON SPRINGS ARE SHORTEN(SEE PHOTOS).
