Up for sale is a Antique 1880’s Swiss Niello Silver. 800 Open Face Pocket Watch Parts Repair. The watch case is silver. The glass crystal is in clean with some minor scratches, but no cracks. The case has some normal vintage use. Some of the niello is worn. The crown work and move freely to set the time. The dial and hands are the original factory. Overall its a really great antique watch with a nice design. Please see photos for overall condition. Currently the movement is Not Running. A rare find from a watch collector’s estate! A Swiss made International Watch Co. Pocket watch movement with dial for REPAIR. The movement measures 32.94mm diameter (measuring just below the upper lip). The serial number is’20707′, presumed circa 1885. The movement is stamped’Internat’l Watch Co. The movement is designed to fit an open face style case with the winding. Hole located at the 12 o’clock position. The movement has screw-down jewel settings. The overall thickness of the movement as. Measured at the center is 11.25mm. The outer diameter (measured at the dial) is 43.91mm. There are some corrosion spots to the plates /. Ratchet wheel and one of the case screws. One of the screws at the center of the ratchet wheel is MISSING; as is the stem / crown and. With a winding tool I was able to give the mainspring a full wind; so it is stem wind and presumed stem set; there are. Square arbors at the rear to wind and set also. The balance wheel tilts from side to side; presumed BROKEN staff / jewel? Died over 2 decades ago and collected from the 1960’s -1980’s; so I presume a good clean and oil are also due! The white enamel dial has black Roman numerals and is marked, Int’nl Watch Co. There is a sunken subsidiary seconds register. Located at the 6 o’clock position. There is a chip located at the outer edge between the 5 and 6 minute position. Please see the last picture. There are also a couple of’mini-chips’ along the outer edge.
