Adjusted to temperature & 6 positions. Model 14, grade “Bunn Special” (RAILROAD GRADE). Serial number: #5172170 (circa 1929). Movement looks clean, sets & winds, mainspring seems OK, but watch DOES NOT RUN. Balance staff is bad, wheel does not move freely. Fortune 10K gold filled. Has wear or brassing on edges from decades of use. Light dent on back cover & tiny scraches. Front bezel screws good, as for the back cover. Measures about 51.5 mm wide, by 60 mm tall, including crown, by 13.5 mm thick. (Roughly 2″ wide by 2.3″ tall by 0.56 thick). This is a used acrylic crystal that can be easily buffed. Pretty nice as is though. 12 hour arabic dial, Montgomery style. 42.5 mm diameter, double sunk. Has a few hairlines & a large chip near center hole. Here for your consideration we have an Illinois 18 size key wind pocket watch for parts or repair. The watch is over-banked but the balance staff looks good. There is no key. The dial has hairlines and large flea bites. The hands have some light surface rust and discoloration. The crystal has wear and scratches and is hard to see through. The Silveroid case has some wear, scratches and dings. It also has a small spots of light surface rust. The serial number 1246591 dates this watch to circa 1894. Good for the professional, beginner, or hobbyist! Might be good for steampunk jewelry or Sculpture. Please refer to pictures for more information. They will all need service of some kind.
